Design & Build - Coatesville

The brief was simple enough. After selling their business the clients wanted to build their dream home – in rural Coatesville. They engaged Property Partners to help them achieve it.

From the outset, the teams at Design Partners and Build Partners worked both with each other and the client to ensure that the project would tick all the boxes in terms of architectural intent and customer satisfaction. It was a challenging site, requiring substantial earthworks just to create the building platform.

And yet, sometimes it’s not until things get moving that you identify what you really want. This is where the close collaboration between designer and builder is so advantageous. The initial plan had been created to meet the budget, however the client chose to increase specifications and detailing so that they could achieve all of the things they wanted. After all, it’s not every day you get the opportunity to build your dream home!

The main house comprised four bedrooms, a study, three car garage, formal lounge, kitchen, dining and rumpus room. In addition, there was a pool, bar and workshop, as well as a separate wing designed for extended family in their retirement with clever details such as wider doorways for easy accessibility. Outside, the large covered entertainment area was complemented by a fireplace and separate kitchen – ensuring entertaining options all year round.

The client had also dreamed of having a circular driveway look, reminiscent of a grand manor or hotel. The site didn’t do any favours with its tight turning space available, but the design and build teams were able to successfully deliver this feature much to the homeowner’s (and their guests) delight.

With Build Partners constructing the home and Design Partners overseeing the details, it was a perfect collaboration – and most importantly, the client is delighted with their stunning new dream home.
